Valentine’s Day

I don’t want to sound bitter, but I’m one of those who have not celebrated Valentine’s – mostly by choice.

For someone who had  been in a relationship for more than a decade, it’s kind of unbelievable.  But it’s true, I have never celebrated Valentine’s Day.  I’m one of those who avoid stereotypes and find it corny.

I am also one of those who don’t like flowers.  But to be clear however, I like flowers, I appreciate those who would give me (for future reference), but I’d prefer something practical – something I can actually use – or food over flowers anytime.

And although I dont’ celebrate it, I still participate with the hype.  I’m in awe of people who would go out of their way to express their love.  I’m a hopeless romantic, pretending to be cynical.  😛

But let’s remember, we can always express our love to our friends, significant others, boyfriend/girlfriends, husbands/wives, and families, everyday.  We don’t need to wait for Valentine’s Day.
